Malaysia > Turtle Cavern, Turtle Tomb > Here are some useful first-han > [View]

Here are some useful first-hand information: At Sipadan Scuba we have a team of the highest qualified cave diving instructors in Asia. We can conduct the full range of cave diving courses up to Level 5 (several tanks, trimix, etc.) as well as cavern and cave diving instructor courses. The Turtle Cave consists of several interconnected parts with the Cavern being the easily accessable part while the actual tomb is far inside and shall only be attemped with an experienced guide using full cave diving equipment. Sipadan Scuba and Smart Divers are currently the only dive centres who have both the expertise and equipment available to conduct such dives safely. This cave is a very very large coral cave and unlike limestone caves which are larger it is full of life (and death) if you know where to look making it one of the most exciting dives in Asia! I am a PADI Master Instructor and one of Asia's few fully qualified cave divers trained to do deco dives to caves as deep as 50m using 3 tanks with 3 different gas mixtures. I have logged well over 500 cave dives to the Turtle Tomb and with the help of twin-tanks with manifold, stage tanks, strong torches and reels & spools I pushed through to the furthest corners of the cave system.

Malaysia > Barracuda Point > Sipadan Island, Dive Sipadan - > [View]

Sipadan Island, Dive Sipadan - Sharks and Turtles guaranteed! The most famous island off Borneo, is a diver's dream destination. We offer day trips from Semporna to this truly remarkable island that sticks out of the 600m deep Celebes Sea. At Sipadan turtles can be seen on every dive but even while snorkeling there is a good chance to see some of these breathtaking creatures. Sipadan Scuba - Cave Diving and Tec Deep/Trimix Courses! The active scuba diver might see as many as 7 different kinds of sharks. At sipidan Barracuda Point, perhaps the best dive site of all, a tornado of Barracudas can often be spotted darkening out the sun while schooling jacks and giant hump head parrotfish are also regular sights. At South Pt. hundreds of hammerheads and the very rare thresher sharks often patrol at depth far off the wall while the Drop Off offers a great view down the 2000 foot wall. For experienced cave divers we also arrange dives to the famous turtle tomb, a 200m long cave system with a large number of turtle skeletons that got lost in the cave while looking for a place to rest. The boat trip from our base in Semporna takes little more than 1 hour by speed boat and we offer 3 dives daily at various dive sites in Sipadan. Contact us for more information.

Malaysia > Black Coral Garden > Its best dive site, the Black  > [View]

Its best dive site, the Black Coral Forest, can be found at the end of a gentle slope at a depth 25m-30m. Here the precious coral can be found huge bushes, ranging from white to neon green to purple in color. Turtles often can be found resting there, and whenever the current picks up eagle rays can be spotted overhead. The huge coral boulders at shallower depth are excellent places to look for lobsters, frogfish and a large variety of other coral fish.
