Majahuitas is the perfect option for the whole family. The Sierra Madre mountainside extends directly into the ocean forming lovely multi level walls covered in coral growth. Tons of small, tropical life teems the area, with the close shore providing comfort ability to snorkelers and divers.

If time is not a factor, one must consider snorkeling or diving Majahuitas Cove. It offers boat only access to some of the bay's best snorkeling and diving sites year round. The entire south side of the bay is made up of tiny coves that offer excellent conditions for snorkeling and diving. One can literally pick any spot along this coast line and encounter an abundance of small, tropical life feeding off the shallow reefs and rock wall formations.

El Morro is known for its series of pinnacles that rise from the floor of the ocean, riddled with dozens of caves and tunnels waiting to be explored in a lush undersea world that teems with life. It is located 26 miles out from Puerto Vallarta in the Pacific Ocean.

It lies beyond the protected waters of the Bay of Banderas. The rocks are populated by an incredible number of migratory and no migratory fish. Commonly seen are Moorish Idols, Leather Bass, Golden Eye Grunts, Razor Surgeons, Harlequin Wrasse, The great Pacific Manta, Sailfish, Dolphins, Turtles, large schools of Jacks and occasionally whale sharks in the months May, June and July.

The drift dive site Majahuitas Punta Norte is characterized by its huge boulders. You will be able to meet the zebra and golden spotted moray eels, yellow tail surgeon fish, turtles, eagle rays, four striped butterfly fish, cornets, puffers, parrot fish, sergeant Majors, giant damsels, cornets, barber fish, groupers and although there are no cleaning stations you will still spot great pacific mantas passing by all of the time.

Punta Norte and Punta Sur are divided by Majahuitas Beach, a rather small beach no longer than 200 meters. Dive and snorkel boats often anchor just a short swimming distance away from this wonderful beach. This dive site is unique because of the hundreds of shy garden eels that live in the sandy bottom sticking out half of their bodies just enough to catch the nutrients passing by.
